[Merlet, 94a] J.F. Merlet: "Elaboration d'une Méthode de Conception Orientée Objet de systèmes de Formation Multimédia : COSYf", Thèse de Doctorat d'Informatique, Université Toulouse I, Toulouse, France, Juillet 1994.
Abstract:
This thesis exposes principals components of the object oriented design method of multimedia training systems called COSYf. Object oriented model is the basic model used by the others models during modelling of a multimedia training system. The constraints model, which allows multimedia documents modelling, integrates both composite-components links and spatio-temporal links between components. These links are managed with an ECA rules model. The model of educational multimedia hyperdocuments use hypermedia concept in training by allowing nodes dynamic access depending to user reactions, requirements and behavior and to author strategies. This model is divided in two sub models : constraints model and educational hyperstructure model.

Abstract:
This article aims to present the model associated to our object oriented design method called COSYx. This method is dedicated to the design of multimedia information system. This method is articulated around two major models. The first model is the management of multimedia documents, model that led us to define the constraints induced by the components of multimedia documents. The second model is the access to those documents, which made us define our notion of dynamic hypermedia.

Abstract:
Our aim is to help a designer to model multimedia training systems. These multimedia training systems are "dynamic" hypermedia systems. The modelling step we are studying is situated between the analysis step and the implementation step. It provides a set of graphical or textual documents giving a detailed description of the training system. The best way to achieve this design step is to use a design method. That is why we developed the COSYf method. This method helps the designer to model the multimedia contents of the training systems but also to model the author's strategies. To help the designer we developed a tool integrating COSYf.

Abstract:
Our aim is to help a designer to model multimedia training systems. These multimedia training systems are "dynamic" hypermedia systems. The modelling step we are studying is situated between the analysis step and the implementation step. It provides a set of graphical or textual documents giving a detailed description of the training system.
The best way to achieve this design step is to use a design method which is why we developed the COSYf method. This method is articulated around two points that are on one hand the multimedia documents management and on the the other hand the access to these documents thanks to the notion of "dynamic" hypermedia.
The second part of our work is the integration of COSYf in a computer aided design tool. This tool called T_CAD decomposes the COSYf method into three components: models, formalisms and rules.

Abstract:
This article aims to present the model and the formalisms associated to our design method called COSYf. We also present the way to integrate it in a Training Computer Assisted Design (T_CAD) tool. COSYf is a method dedicated to the design of multimedia training systems [Merlet, 94a]. In a first part, we present COSYf. This method is articulated around two major points. The first point is the management of multimedia documents, point that led us to define the constraints induced by the components of multimedia documents. The second point is the access to those documents, which made us define the notion of dynamic hypermedia. In a second part, we study how it is possible to integrate the COSYf model in a T_CAD tool. For this we use the concept of meta-model.
